The Indian community residing in Australia will get a chance to contribute with India and other region of Australia at the 7th Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention in Sydney.
The main objective of the convention is to reach to the members of the community who were unable to participate in the annual PBD, in India. Another reason was to provide a platform for the Indian community in Australia and the Pacific to encourage healthy relationship between various countries in the region and India.
The convention in Sydney will be a 3 day long program which will be organized by the Indian community. The discussion will be based on various aspects of India’s relationship with Australia to develop trade in terms of infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, languages, skill and education, culture, and the involvement of women in the business.
The participants were expected from across states and territories of Australia. The convention was not only conducted for the Indian community but alos for everyone who was keen to contribute into India’s growing relationship with Australia.
The speakers at the event will include, prominent members of the Indian community, ministers and dignitaries from Australia and India, academicians, Australian and Indian business representatives, and media persons.
