In an international survey conducted by GFK in alliance with Monster worldwide it is upshot that one in five people in India adore his job to such a great extent that he would work for free.
As per the survey report, India was placed third in international happiness rankings with 55% of employees in India love their jobs placing behind Canada – 64% and the Netherlands – 57%.
72% of India’s youngsters are most likely to be happy at work. Adding to this Indians are more contented in the preliminary years of their career and becomes unhappy as they grow in their career.
The survey as well gazed at the split in gratification at work by earnings, it s enlightening that middle income group is the happiest at work compared to huge salaried workers. 60% of the middle incomes say they love their job compared to just over 52% of high income group.
Surveying a little over 8,000 people in Canada, France, Germany, India, the Netherlands, the UK and the US, the survey was conducted by GFK with total sample size of 1,016.
The international survey polled more than 8,000 workers in Canada, France, Germany, India, the Netherlands, the UK and the US, asking the question:
“Which of the following best describes how much you love your current job?”
The following responses were received in India:
- 18% Love it – would do it for free
- 37% Like it a lot – I enjoy what I do, but I could like it more
- 33% Like it – I like it well enough for now
- 5% Don’t like it – I think I could do better
- 0% Hate it – but it is a necessary evil
- 8% Did not answer
