Employers in New Zealand would consider the individuals from foreign who are not high skilled professionals for less skilled work would now be needed to engage with Income and work at the start of process for making sure that there is no citizen from New Zealand available for doing the work.
Entire applications for low skilled important skills job visa sent after 11th April 2016, should include a report for skills match completed by Income and Work. The report enhances the certainty for visa applicants and employers and speed up the process of visa application when no citizens from New Zealand are available.
Earlier the New Zealand Immigration Department had contacted with the Income and Work after a application for work visa was made. If the Income and Work recommended that the citizens from New Zealand were available, this will put an impact on the processing time of visa application and often the results.
Under the latest regulation, applications for low skilled essential skills job visa would be returned without processing if a qualified report for skills match is not included.
The New Zealand Immigration department would work together with the employers for less and unskilled posts who are seeking to employ foreign employers. If the department cannot fill up the positions, then report of skills match would give employers and the department with data about skills needed for the job.
The Government is committed to get more individuals into the job by making sure that they first inline for jobs. As they are aware those employers are looking for individuals with positive attitude and who has good skills and they want to offer best people.
