Macca Sherifi, spokesperson for gapyear.com, said: "It's great to see a rise in the number of young people living and working in New Zealand. As anyone who's been there knows, there's so much to see and do, and it really is one of those countries that the longer you spend there the more you get out of it." New Zealand's working holiday visa allows UK residents between the ages of 18-30 to work in a variety of jobs during their stay in the country, including skilled employment. The visa is valid for up to 23 months, although you can only work for 12 months, and is ideal for those looking to book a gap year as it takes the strain off travel finances and provides valuable additions to the CV.
