There is a hierarchy in processing priority groups and order of processing is as under:
- Applications are given in the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme,
- Applications are given in the Employer Nomination Scheme,
- Nominees by a state/territory government for a profession specified in the State Migration Plan,
Skilled migration applications are processed on Priority. They also decide the order in which the department will consider the applications. There is a hierarchy in the applications, and the date of filing the application is not considered.
The Skill Select applications in 187, 186, 190 and 489 categories are given topmost priority in each group.
Processing times are shown on the visa page for the specific visa subclass applied. Two processing times are displayed, signifying the time taken to finalize 75 and 90 percent applications, which are submitted at the international level. The Processing times are applied, from the date the filing of the application.
The Department will only act in response to inquiries after the processing time is over.
