British Columbia is among the largest provinces in Canada and is among the most beautiful to see, visit, explore and experience. In the province of British Columbia, also popularly referred to as just BC, there are beaches and coasts with a long coastline, rugged mountains, forests and grasslands and much more on offer.
The province of BC
(or, British Columbia
) is on the western coast and its most popular city is Vancouver, which is one of the most advanced and beautiful cities in the world, while its capital city is Victoria. Very regularly and routinely, Vancouver’s name crops as being among (or, among) the most livable places in the world. The rest or remaining part of BC too is most venturesome and offers treats and marvels to the eyes and the other senses.
If seeing is believing, then seeing and visiting/living in BC is a ‘must do thing’ for anyone wishing to embark on any journey to visit and experience and enjoy natural and man-made wonders.

Of course, Vancouver is not synonymous with all of British Columbia. And as stated above, BC in and by itself, has many ‘must see’ attractions. The location of British Columbia is along the Pacific North West. It was the sixth region to become part of Canada (in 1871) and it was named so by the Queen of Britain, Queen Victoria in 1858.
The city of Vancouver
is located where Fraser River and Georgia Strait meet. And, its actual or correct location is in the mainland (its southwest corner), which is referred to as the Lower Mainland. Vancouver has some of the most beautiful beaches and parks of the world. Some of its most beautiful beaches are English Bay Beach, Jericho Beach, Locarno Beach, Spanish Banks Beach, Third Beach, Sunset Beach and many more.
Some of the most popular, enjoyable and attractive parks in Vancouver include Stanley Park Seawall, Van Dusell Botanical Garden, Hastings Park, Sun Yat Chinese Gardens, Wendy Poole Park, Granville Island Water park and many more.

Vancouver also has plenty of recreational activities taking place all throughout the year. And, yes, of course, compared to the other cities in Canada, it has the mildest and most enticing weather throughout the year. The city of Vancouver also offers and showcases art and cultural activities to its denizens and visitors.
Vancouver’s recreational activities include taking part in acting and theatre, busking in parks, dancing, drawing, day camps, music and singing, pottery and ceramics and also seasonal activities which depend upon what season of the year prevails at any one time. Vancouver is also a very well planned city.
Its city government and active community have ensured that this is so. The city’s cleanliness, the way its city government works and the participation of its citizens all ensure that it retains its natural wonders and gifts and more is added to them.
